Our story begins where all great love stories do, the state fair.We met on the first day of the 2015 Kentucky State Fair. Kiah had just moved to Kentucky from California the week before. As fate would have it, her new job at the Kentucky Beef Council had her working at the "Big Red Barn" alongside the folks at the Kentucky Soybean Board, including Brent.
Beef and beans, and the rest is history. agricultural rootsIt wasn't the aroma of fried fair food that connected us, but our love of agriculture and people. Having both grown up on family farms, we know and understand the rewards and hardships that come with farming.

Brent was raised on his family's Western Kentucky grain and tobacco farm in Calloway County. He is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food & Environment and the Martin School of Public Policy & Administration. He has ten years experience in agriculture communications and government policy. In 2018, USDA Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue appointed Brent to the USDA Plant Variety Protection Board. He is a featured speaker on agriculture issues, including the industrial hemp industry he oversaw in Kentucky. In 2019, he joined the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau as Executive Director.
